Service Union United PAM has given strike warnings to the retail trade sector. The strike started on February 9 at 5 a.m. and it applies to more than 160 retail outlets. The strike has been announced to end on Saturday February 11 at 5 a.m. The strike may affect the operations of Posti’s service points located in the shops that are targeted by the strike.
According to our current assessment, there may be disruptions in a small number of service points with personal service if deliveries cannot be delivered or picked up when the service point is closed. If it is not possible to make deliveries to such service points, we will try to deliver them for pickup as close as possible to the original pick-up point or to the service point as soon as it is possible. Parcel lockers operate normally.
There are about 1,000 Posti service points with service and about 2,300 parcel lockers in Finland.
Posti is not a party to the negotiations, and we are looking forward to a quick outcome of the negotiations. We will do our best to minimize the disturbances to our customers.
